Marchand came into Tuesday night's matchup against the Florida Panthers without a goal in eleven straight games and just five assists in that same span. Much of that has to do with the recent absence of David Pastrnak and the terrible drought of the Bruins' powerplay (0 for 36 after tonight).
Marchand had an assist when Jake DeBrusk banged in his rebound to put Boston up 3-2. Eventually, he would end his eleven-game drought with an empty-net goal to seal a Bruins 4-2 win.
Before he scored, though, Marchand took out his frustration on Panthers' forward Patric Hornqvist.
