NHL announces 2023 Trade Deadline date

While fans are patiently waiting for the regular season to start, the NHL is already planning ahead, releasing key dates for the 2022-23 season.

Most notably, the 2023 Trade Deadline and the league recently announced the date, set for Friday, March 3rd, 2023. If you are a fan of either a contender or a rebuilding team, March 3rd will be a day to watch for.

This year's deadline could be huge, with names such as David Pastrnak, Jakob Chychrun, Patrick Kane, Bo Horvat and Jonathan Toews that could be on the move.

The standings of teams and how contract negotiations progress will determine whether a player will actually be available, but right now it seems that we could be in for a massive trade deadline.

The most significant question facing the Boston Bruins will be the potential status of David Pastrnak with the team. If an extension is not in place by then, it's a very real possibility that a trade can happen.
