After this high hit from Mackinnon, Patrick was forced to leave the game and did not return.
Patrick has had some health concerns over the past few seasons and this is a scary one for the young player.
MacKinnon received a mere 2-minute interference penalty for his hit to the head and there was speculation this morning that he could be receiving some supplemental discipline for this unnecessary hit.
Patrick was forced to leave the game as a result and did not return. There is some obvious concern for the health of the former 2nd overall pick, who has a long history of concussion issues.
According to the Review Journal's David Schoen, it appears as though MacKinnon will not be fined or suspended as a result of his actions on the play.
