The Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes are underway in game four at the TD Garden in Boston.
The Bruins are playing without their top defensive pair of Hampus Lindholm and Charlie McAvoy due to an injury and a positive COVID test, in that order.
Boston killed off an early penalty to Mike Reilly, and then Nick Foligno did his part to get the crowd going too. Foligno got in hard on the forecheck and threw a big hit on Hurricanes' defenseman Ian Cole in the corner.
Watch the hit here:
The veteran Nick Foligno is playing on the fourth line with Curtis Lazar and Chris Wagner, a line that needs to throw their bodies around and give this Boston team their energy. Foligno shows early in the game that he knows his and his line's role in the game!
The game is still tied at zeros midway through the first period.
