Hockey Canada's honour is tarnished after the alleged sexual allegations against former members of Team Canada players from the 2003 World Junior Hockey Championships in Halifax and 2018 in London.

After Hockey Canada did a lacklustre internal investigation, they are finally getting a thorough investigation.

This comes after a woman stepped forward to say that she was ''gang raped'' by eight 2003 Canadian World Juniors team members.

Halifax Police have opened an investigation, and The Head of Hockey Canada, Michael Brind'Amour, officially stepped down immediately after public backlash called for Brind'Amour to be fired.

As for the 2003 alleged incident, the details of the allegations are disturbing, and there is reportedly a videotape of the assault, with full narration from one of the players involved.

Full details from TSN's Rick Westhead:

''The video shows roughly a half-dozen players taking turns having sex with a woman who was non-responsive and lying face up on the pool table.''

''Two sources said they watched the video on a VHS tape in an apartment in the spring of 2003.''

''The third source said that one of the players on the 2003 World Juniors team borrowed their video camera during the tournament in Halifax. The recording was on the camera when it was returned to them. That person said they did not inform police about the recording and deleted the video from their camera after being pressured to do so by players. The source said they believe a copy of the video was made when the camera was not in their possession.''

''In the wake of this scandal, several members of the 2003 roster have done everything to co-operate to clear their names from the list. They are PA Parenteau, Carlo Colaiacovo, Dan Paille, and Jordin Tootoo have all cleared their names.''

In an interesting twist, Team Canada's 2003 goaltender, who just re-signed with the Minnesota Wild goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury, declined to comment on the allegations when confronted by Quebec's La Presse newspaper earlier this week.

From La Presse:

Tuesday evening, La Presse invited him to comment on the 2003 allegations. 'No comments, thank you,' he replied, politely, twice.''

We're not saying he's guilty that will come out, but it's interesting if you're not involved; the first thing you would want to do is clear your name.

The names of those players accused haven't been announced yet, but if these players did what the victim is claiming, they need to be brought to justice.
