One less team in the running for Marc-Andre Fleury
The Boston Bruins were rumoured to be a dark horse to acquire Marc-Andre Fleury's services. But the list of interested teams seemed to be a long one, including Washington, Colorado and others.
But today that list grew shorter as Frank Seravelli of Daily Faceoff is now reporting Fleury is refusing any trade to Washington due to his history with the Capitals during his time as a Penguin.
Fleury was drafted by the Pens and played 12 seasons as a part of the Pens versus Capitals feud and he had his heart broken by the Caps during the Stanley Cup Finals as a member of the Golden Knights.
This could clear the path to upgrade in goal if they so choose.
