Boston Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron won the Frank J. Selke Trophy Sunday evening, and nobody in the hockey world was surprised.
During his acceptance video, Bergy took the opportunity to send a message to his former agent and current general manager of the Montreal Canadiens, Kent Hughes, by thanking him.
This was a tweet from French reporter Marc-Andre Perrault with TVA Sports:
"...I would like to thank my former agent Kent Hughes..." - Patrice Bergeron on receiving his 5th Selke. My ears thought it was weird.
Kent Hughes was Bergeron's agent before become the Canadiens general manager. His agency oversaw more than 290 million dollars worth of contracts. Hughes represented a multitude of star players including Patrice Bergeron and Kris Letang.
