The Boston Bruins fired Bruce Cassidy on June 6th and have been looking to fill the head coaching vacancy since.
The club has been linked to many names, and it appears as though the remaining three are David Quinn, Jim Montgomery and Jay Leach. However, according to recent reports, the Bruins have gone further in the process with one in particular.
As per Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald, David Quinn is scheduled to now meet with Bruins ownership, which no other candidate has.
"Hearing David Quinn was scheduled to meet with Bruins ownership yesterday. Not sure if any other candidates advanced that far."
