The Boston Bruins (11-2-0) are back in action as they host the Calgary Flames (5-5-2) at TD Garden Thursday night.
Some major storylines coming into tonight's matchup are the Bruins attempting to keep a perfect 7-0-0 home record alive, the Flames trying to snap a six-game losing streak and the much-anticipated return of defenseman Charlie McAvoy.

Linus Ullmark is officially starting his sixth consecutive game with Jeremy Swayman still injured and Keith Kinkaid as the backup. Ullmark comes into tonight with a very impressive 9-1-0 record, a 2.05 GAA and a .932 SV%.
The Bruins are still without defenseman Derek Forbort.

It's reported that former Bruins draft pick Dan Vladar will be starting against his old team. The Czechia native is 1-2-0 on the season with a 3.81 GAA and a .865 SV%. He was originally selected in the third round (75th overall) by Boston at the 2015 Entry Draft.
Former Bruins fan favourite Milan Lucic is making only his seventh trip to TD Garden as a member of the opposition after spending his first eight seasons (and winning the 2011 Cup) in Boston.
Calgary will be without Jonathan Huberdeau, Chris Tanev, Michael Stone and Oliver Kylington.
