The Boston Bruins selected Jackson Edward with the 200th overall pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.
The 6'2'' defenseman is from Newmarket, Ontario, however, he didn't grow up as a Toronto Maple Leafs fan.
It turns out that Edward grew up cheering for the Bruins so Friday night was truly a dream come true for the 18-year-old.
Edward discussed how being picked by his favourite team hasn't felt real yet:
''Boston was my favorite team growing upI liked Chara when I was younger and then Marchand became my favorite player.''
