Boston's 23-year-old netminder has a 17-7-3 record this season and is tied for the league lead with a 2.06 GAA.

Jeremy Swayman hasn't lost a game in close to a month. His last L came all the way back on February 15, in a 2-1 overtime loss to the New York Rangers. Since then, Swayman has turned into a dominant force. He was named February's NHL Rookie of the Month and has led the Bruins well into a playoff spot.

But the Bruins netminder earned his eighth straight victory last night, matching Carolina's Frederik Andersen for the longest win streak by a goaltender this season.

The NHL also pointed out that Swayman's streak is making its mark in the Bruins history books.

With the win, Swayman positioned himself among some of the Bruins best first-year goaltenders. He trails only Ross Brooks for the lengthiest win streak by a Bruins rookie.

Brooks won 12 straight games back in the 1973-74 season, his rookie campaign.
