Today has been a busy day for the Boston Bruins and general manager Don Sweeney.

News broke early this morning that captain Patrice Bergeron signed a one-year extension, which was followed by an announcement that David Krejci was returning on a one- year deal as well.

With limited cap-space, it's reported that the club has now signed RFA forward Pavel Zacha to a one-year deal.

As reported by PuckPedia:

'Expecting the #NHLBruins to sign 25 y/o RFA F Pavel Zacha to 1 year $3.5M deal. He'll be a UFA on expiry.

He had very similar scoring to Puljujarvi (1 * $3.0M) in 21-22 & settles his arbitration for $500K more.

Rep'd by Paul Capizzano @QuartexxHockey'

The $3.5 million for Zacha will put the Bruins about $2.2 million over the cap ceiling.

The team can start the season with Charlie McAvoy, Brad Marchand and Matthew Grzelcyk on LTIR to make room, but another move should be expected.
