Seattle Kraken GM Ron Francis has a big decision to make regarding recent 4th overall pick Shane Wright.
After the World Junior Championship, the Kraken must decide if they want to keep him in the NHL or send him back to the OHL for the remainder of the season.
If he does go back to the Kingston Frontenacs of the OHL, all indications point to an inevitable trade to the Ottawa 67's, who sit in first place.
As per former NHL scout Grant McKagg:
''The expectation is that Kingston will trade Wright's rights sometime between now and the end of the WJC. Might he be going to the Ottawa 67s? Stay tuned.''
Wright, who is captaining Canada, has 3 goals and 2 assists through 3 games at the World Juniors. After being a healthy scratch several times in Seattle, it would only make sense for him to go back to the OHL.
