Scary scene from Bell Centre after Chris Tanev took a Nick Suzuki shot off the side of his head.
The Flames defenseman went down immediately and did not get up, as his eyes were closed the whole time.
See below:
The shot appears to catch him in the ear or neck area and was down for a long time.
Tanev eventually did get up and was helped off the ice by his teammates, as he was visibly shaken up.
Arpon Basu of The Athletic did however, share some positive news regarding Tanev:
'Canadiens head physician Dr. David Mulder, who immediately left when Chris Tanev was taken to the Flames dressing room, just returned to his seat behind the Canadiens bench. Hopefully a good sign for Tanev.'
