The drunk driver who ended up killing Johnny Gaudreau, and Matthew Gaudreau has finally broke his silence.

Johnny Gaudreau 31, was known throughout the hockey community as a star player and a really good person who did a lot of work for the community's of Columbus and Calgary when he was apart of the team.

Matthew Gaudreau, 29 wasn't as known as his brother Johnny, but he did have a slight hockey career, and many people have been sharing amazing stories about him online after his passing.

Both brothers were killed by a man named Sean Higgins who thought it was a bright idea to drive while under the influence. While driving he went to overtake multiple vehicles, and ultimately hit and killed both Johnny and Matthew.

Sean Higgins' statement he gave to the police has now been shared to the public by the police on how much he had to drink the night all this took place.

"The New Jersey resident failed a blood alcohol test at the scene of the crash, according to the New Jersey news outlet, confirming that his drinking contributed to his impatience and reckless driving."

Higgins' has since been arrested and charged with two counts of causing death with a vehicle.

"The officer who arrived at the scene detected "a strong odor of alcohol" on his breath, according to the criminal complaint obtained by The Post.

Higgins allegedly told the officer he had drunk "five to six beers" before the fatal crash. He also allegedly admitted that he thought the SUV was trying to block him and that his drinking was exacerbating his impatience and reckless driving.

Gaudreau is survived by his wife Meredith and two children, Noa, 1, and Johnny, 6 months.

Higgins failed a sobriety test at the scene, cops said."
