One of the main themes of the World Juniors Championships has been the number of ejections.
Last night, New York Rangers prospect Brett Berard joined the long list, making him the third Rangers prospect to be ejected from a game.
With the United States trailing 3-1 in the third period, Berard, on a nothing play, slew foots a Czechia player. While the contact seems minimal, it was right in front of the official, with no way it wouldn't be called.
This penalty took valuable time off the clock and limited any chance for a USA comeback. Czechia would win the game 4-2, eliminating the United States from the tournament.
