The Boston Bruins will honor the career of their 15-year goaltender prior to a game against the Devils on March 31.

While it's a nice way to show some recognition, a ceremonial puck drop is a funny way of celebrating one of the franchise's greatest goaltenders of all-time.

Ceremonial puck drops at the TD Garden have often been reserved to celebrities, politicians, athletes from other sports, veterans, and more.

But for the goaltender who gave his all to the city of Boston for over a decade? It kind of feels like it's not enough.

Rask spent his 15 seasons in the NHL with the Bruins. He retired with a 308-165-66 record, a 2.28 goals against average and .921% save percentage. The Savonlinna, Finland native is Boston's all-time leader in wins (308) and sits second in shutouts (52).

He's also won multiple notable awards with the B's, including the Jennings Trophy in 2019-20, the Vezina Trophy in 2013-14, and, of course, he finished the 2010-11 campaign by lifting the Stanley Cup.

With that said, maybe the Bruins should start considering a jersey retirement for Rask? After all, the Original Six franchise has yet to retire a single goaltender's number to this day...

Is Rask worthy of such an honor?
