The Hlinka-Gretzky Cup is underway; only 1 Massachusetts representative on Team USA

As fans await the NHL season, The Hlinka-Gretzky Cup is officially underway in Red Deer, Alberta.
Group A consists of Canada, Sweden, Slovakia and Switzerland, and in Group B are the United States, Czechia, Finland and Germany. Canada and Finland lead the way in their groups with perfect 2-0-0 records after the third day of the tournament.
The lone Massachusetts representative is 17-year-old forward Will McDonough from Duxbury. He currently plays for the Sioux Falls Stampede of the USHL and recorded 3 goals and 6 assists during the 2021-22 season.

Team USA is sitting in third place in Group B with a 1-0-1 record and is currently underway against undefeated Czechia (details below):
