The New Jersey Devils have avoided arbitration with forward Jesper Bratt, as the two sides have settled on a one-year deal.
The 24-year-old put up 73 points in 76 games (26 goals and 47 assists). He was originally a sixth round (162nd overall) pick at the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
Bratt just completed a two-year contract with an AAV of $2,750,000, and he and his agent filed for arbitration after not being able to come to terms with the Devils.
Early this morning it was announced the two agreed on a team friendly contract for next season:
Although the Devils would have liked more term, they get one of their top scorer back in the lineup, and he'll be an RFA once again next summer.
