Today Evander Kane was on the ice with The Edmonton Oilers for the first time since his wrist surgery three weeks ago. Kane hit the ice for a light skate this morning and appeared to be stickhandling with both hands. It was initially thought that the 31 year old Vancouver native would be out for 3 to 4 months. In the off-season, The Edmonto Oilers signed Kane to a four year contract worth 20.5-million. The Oilers left winger has acquired five goals and eight assist in 13 games played this season. With this news it seems likely that Kane will return sooner then anticipated.
