Russian forward Ivan Miroshnichenko is an 18-year-old prospect projected to go inside the Top 10 in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

In his mid-season rankings, TSN's Bob McKenzie had the left winger going as high as 6th overall during next summer's selection process.

Unfortunately, news broke out earlier today announcing that the young phenom has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a form of cancer.

Miroschnichenko is currently receiving treatment in Germany and is expected to miss the remainder of the season. Until more is known on his condition, no updates will be made in regards to his status for the 2022 Draft.

The young forward captained Russia at the latest Hlinka Gretzky Cup, finishing the tournament with four goals and five assists in five games played.
