Transaction: Stanley Cup champion Sammy Blais signs a PTO contract
Former St. Louis Blues forward and 2019 Stanley Cup Champion officially signs a PTO to keep his NHL dreams alive.
It was announced yesterday that the Vancouver Canucks have signed Sammy Blais to a professional tryout (PTO) contract.
The announcement of Sammy Blais signing isn't massive, but is a solid depth player, who knows what it takes to win a Stanley Cup. With that he brings playoff experience to a team that doesn't have much of it.
If Blais does not earn himself a contract with the Vancouver Canucks, he already signed a contract with the Canucks affiliate team Abbotsford Canucks.
Sammy Blais appeared in 53 games last year for the St. Louis Blues and only had one goal and seven assists.
