One of the top unrestricted free agents has chosen his new home.
25-year-old Dylan Strome was not qualified as a restricted free agent by the Chicago Blackhawks and was able to hit the free agent market on July 13th.
Yesterday, the Washington Capitals signed Strome to a one-year, $3.5 million contract.
The 6'3", 200-pound forward established a single-season career high in goals with 22 and added 26 assists in 69 games played.
Strome was originally drafted third overall by the Arizona Coyotes in 2015. In 273 career NHL games with Arizona and Chicago, he has recorded 67 goals and 103 assists for a total of 170 points.
