The Boston Bruins are in Denver, Colorado, tonight to face the Avalanche for the second time in five days.

Head coach Jim Montgomery announced one lineup change after the B's third loss in 23 games this season. According to Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald, expect a previously injured Craig Smith (upper-body) to return tonight.

''Montgomery said he expects Craig Smith will go back in the lineup in Colorado for Greer''

Smith, 33, has appeared in 12 games with the Bruins this season, collecting one goal and two assists on 16 shots. The forward had previously missed three games with an upper-body injury earlier in the season and four this time around (healthy and scratched twice).

ABOUT TONIGHT'S MATCHUP:

The Bruins handled the defending Champs well at TD Garden this past Saturday, coming away with a decisive 5-1 win.

The B's will be facing an already depleted Avalanche lineup without Nathan MacKinnon and Artturi Lehkonen. However, like on Monday against the Golden Knights, never take any opponent lightly.

Colorado, whose top-six will be without MacKinnon, Lehkonen, Gabriel Landeskog, Valeri Nichushkin and Evan Rodrigues, will reportedly look as follows:

Newhook-Rantanen-Hudon
Cogliano-Compher-O'Connor
Hunt-Meyers-Kaut
Foudy-Burke-Ranta
