Defenseman Brandon Carlo was injured in the Boston Bruins' home opener against the Arizona Coyotes on October 15th. Carlo was injured when he took a hard hit from Coyotes Liam O'Brien in the first period, and he hasn't played since.
Today, after the morning skate, Carlo himself confirmed the worst about his injury. As per Scott McLaughlin of WEEI:
''Brandon Carlo confirms his injury was a concussion. Said he felt better after about three days, and it wasn't as severe as the last one he had.''
This is officially the fifth documented concussion of Carlo's seven-year NHL career. The good news is that he was feeling better three days after and that it's not as severe as previous concussions, but brain injuries are never something to take lightly.
Hopefully, Carlo takes all the time he needs to recover completely!
