Vegas defenseman taking indefinite leave of absence

On Wednesday, the Vegas Golden Knights announced some troubling news involving defenseman Alex Pietrangelo.
The veteran defenseman is taking an indefinite leave from the team due to an illness in his family. As per the Golden Knight PR:
''Alex Pietrangelo is away from the team and will remain so indefinitely due to an illness in the family.''
�'The Vegas Golden Knights wholeheartedly support Alex and the Pietrangelos and ask that the family's privacy be respected at this time.''
Pietrangelo and his family have requested privacy during this time.
The 32-year-old 3 goals and 18 assists in 23 games for the Golden Knights the season. After a disappointing campaign last year, Pietrangelo has thrived under former Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy and his defensive structure.
