The Boston Bruins were able to edge out the Carolina Hurricanes in game four by a score of 5-2, insured by an empty-net goal with under 30 seconds left.
The series is now tied heading back to Raleigh, and it's in big thanks to the Bruins' captain Patrice Bergeron.
He spoke to the media following the game, and he had some friendly company with home as well. His three children joined him on the podium after the Bruins big win.
Bergeron was cut around the eye because of a Sebastian Aho high-stick near the end of the second period and was asked what the kids said about seeing dad with a nasty cut:
«They were a little concerned at first and they weren't sure what was going on but they've seen it before you know. It's not the first time they've seen Daddy with a few bruises and stitches near or around the face. So everything was fine after.»
Bergy was sporting quite the cut after the game which just adds to the type of player and leader he is on this Boston team. Especially when he tried to get back on the ice when he was leaking blood from his face.
