Sunday night, the San Jose Sharks were on the road visiting the Minnesota Wild, and defenseman Erik Karlsson made a case for the best blooper of the season.
With his team on the powerplay and down 1-0 early in the second, Karlsson appears to catch an edge skating backwards on the blueline and hilarious falls on his rear-end. Leaving the Wild with a shorthanded 2-on-0 from their own blueline, and Connor Dewar would score to make it 2-0.
Thankfully for Karlsson, his team came back and scored two in the third period and would end up winning 3-2 in a shootout.
The 32-year-old looks like his old Norris-winning self so far this season, with 10 goals and 12 assists in 17 games.
