Every team in the NHL hates Brad Marchand. He's the players other fan bases wish was on their team, but hate him because he isn't. Marchand has always embraced the role of being a rat, a shit disturber and the guy who always pushed the envelop, but there have been 13 occasions where he's crossed the line.
At this point in his career Marchand has been suspended 8 times and fined 5 times as well. Marchand's career loses are now over $1,500,000 due to supplemental discipline.

2 Games - Marchand Elbows Umberger
On March 15th, 2011 Marchand elbowed RJ Umberger in the back of the head in the neutral zone area.
Umberger was uninjured on the play.
5 Games - Marchand Low Bridges Sami Salo
Marchand was given a five-minute major and game misconduct for low-bridging Salo in the second period and Salo suffered a concussion on the play. Marchand would receive 5 games for this play.
2 Games - Marchand Slewfoots Brassard
Marchand was suspended 2 games for slewfooting Derrick Brassard
3 Games - Marchand Clips Borowiecki
Of all Marchand's suspensions this was one of the few times Marchand didn't own his actions. He claimed the entire incident was accidentally as he turned up the ice, unfortunately for Marchand the NHL felt differently and awarded him 3 games for this hit on Mark Borowiecki.

Marchand Spears Dotchin - 2 Games
For the second time in his career Marchand was suspended for a play against the Canucks when he speared Jake Dotchin.
Marchand Elbows Johansson - 5 Games
Marchand caught New Jersey Devils Marcus Johansson with a very aggressive elbow and was given a 5 game suspension.
Marchand slewfoots OEL - 3 Games
Marchand was suspended 3 games for a dangerous slewfoot against Oliver Ekmann-Larsson earlier this season.

Marchand was suspended 6 games for this roughing and high sticking play against Tristan Jarry.
