A shocking announcement was made involving both Elias Lindholm, and Hampus Lindholm.
This off-season the Boston Bruins made some big moves especially in free agency where they brought in both Nikita Zadorov and Elias Lindholm, both from the Vancouver Canucks.
With the addition of Elias Lindholm, there are now two Boston Bruins players with the last name Lindholm on their jerseys heading into next year, and this is not the first time in Bruins history this has happened.
Keith and Bruce Crowder were the first with the same last name to dawn the Bruins jersey from 1981-1984. There was also Boston Bruins GM Don Sweeney who played with Tim, and Bob Sweeney in the late 80's and early 90's.
Most times when players share the same last name, they are related, but this is not the case for the Lindholm's as they have no relation to one another.
