Boston Bruins Are On Pace To Break A Franchise Record That Has Never Been Seen Before And It's Not Good
If something doesn't change with the Boston Bruins, they are set to break a franchise record that has never been seen before.
As of right now the Boston Bruins are on pace to score under 200 goals in a 80+ game season which has never been done before in franchise history. If their play does not pick up they will break this record as they are only on pace to score a total of 182 goals this season.
They're currently on pace to finish with 182.
When Jim Montgomery was the head coach of the Boston Bruins, he struggled to get the offence going, and that ultimately lead to him being fired by the Boston Bruins. Now Joe Sacco is having the same problem as in three games as head coach of the Boston Bruins, the team has only scored a total of three goals.
The Boston Bruins currently have the third worst goal differential with a -21 goal differential. The only teams behind the Boston Bruins are the Pittsburgh Penguins with a -34, the San Jose Sharks and Montreal Canadiens both have a -22 and then it's the Boston Bruins.
The Bruins have only score 54 goals this season in 23 games and have allowed 71 goals.. This just can't happen especially considering the moves the Bruins made in the off-season to be a more "competitive" team this year.
This is a serious problem that the Bruins need to figure out soon as they aren't even in a playoff spot at this moment. They are tied as of now with the Buffalo Sabres for the second wild card spot, but the Sabres have two games in hand on the Boston Bruins.
It wouldn't be too surprising if the Bruins make a trade soon like rumours have suggested especially if things don't change soon for the Bruins.
