While Brad Marchand is focusing on the Four Nations Face-Off tournament, he's had to react to the latest trade rumors, which would send him to the Western Conference. His reaction is nothing short of what you'd expect.

Brad Marchand has a no-nonsense attitude when it comes to reporters and rumors, as he's shot down Elliotte Friedman in the past.

With news of the Bruins being out of a playoff spot, the discussions have reached a crescendo.

The latest trade talks we've seen have sent him to the Western Conference and the Vegas Golden Knights. An interesting prospect given it'd be a reunion with Marchand and Bruce Cassidy.

Marchand believes that he'll never be traded by GM Don Sweeney and the Bruins.

«I don't think so, but I don't have all of the answers,» Marchand told NHL.com . «I don't think so. I believe that we have a group capable of doing more than what we've done. And I believe that they feel the same way.

«We're not in control of them,» Marchand added about the ongoing rumours. «At the end of the day, if they wanted to trade me, that's obviously well within their right. But I feel like that's something that we would have a conversation about.

«I don't think that's something they would just do on a whim.»

The Vegas Golden Knights were one of several teams who have been linked to Marchand including the Colorado Avalanche, Edmonton Oilers, Dallas Stars, and Minnesota Wild.

For now, GM Don Sweeney is only listening in on calls that would offer a prospect and a first-round pick in return for the Bruins Captain.

Marchand appears to be unfazed by the latest water cooler discussion in the league, and that could be for the best as he looks to win the Four Nations Face-Off with Team Canada.
