Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery has completed a transaction heading into their game against the Dallas Stars tonight involving young defenseman Mason Lohrei.

Jim Montgomery has already made some surprising moves heading into this game vs the Stars, and now he's made another one. The first surprising move he made was breaking up the Bruins fourth line by moving Cole Koepke off the fourth line up to the third line so Justin Brazeau can slot back into the lineup.

This comes not long after Montgomery stated he wasn't going to break this lineup, but instead reward them with more playing time.

«I'm keeping the line together,» he said. «Maybe I just got to start playing them like 16 minutes a night instead of 12 like I have.»

Now Montgomery has made another questionable move with young defenseman Mason Lohrei.

Going based off of the Bruins lines they were running this morning at practice, the Bruins are making Mason Lohrei a healthy scratch for tonight's game, letting Parker Wotherspoon slot back into the lineup, forcing Lohrei to go sit in the press box and watch from above.

Broke up the 4th line so Justin Brazeau can play. I want to spit nails.

Mason Lohrei has been good for the Boston Bruins so far, in 6 games he has played in he has 1 goal, and 4 points for the Bruins along with a -2 plus minus rating.

Is healthy scratching Mason Lohrei a good move for the Boston Bruins?
