Boston Bruins new forward Oliver Wahlstrom revealed a troubling mishap he had with security at TD Garden ahead of his home debut with the team.

Saturday night, as the Bruins were gearing up for their first home game since their five-game West Coast road trip newcomer Oliver Wahlstrom had a hilarious interaction with the security at TD Garden.

When Wahlstrom was younger, he had a viral moment take the web after scoring a gross shoutout goal at TD Garden when he was just nine years old. This game didn't mark his debut with the Bruins as he ended up playing in their previous game, but it would be his debut at TD Garden, where he grew up watching the Bruins play.

When he ended up arriving for the Bruins morning skate there was a little hiccup with the security guard.

«I actually had some trouble getting through security,» Wahlstrom told reporters, per Scott McLaughlin of WEEI. «I went through the parking garage area and didn't get in for a little bit, for a couple minutes. I kind of had some idea of what doors to go through, so I knew where to walk. But it's pretty special, you know, just walking to the rink. Where I grew up, watched so many Bruins games, so it's cool.»

Here is the full video from Wahlstrom's interaction with the security guard:

Wahlstrom revealed that many friends and family texted him before the game, and many even showed up to watch him play.

The Bruins didn't put on a show, but they did end up beating the Buffalo Sabres 3-1 in Wahlstroms first game at TD Garden.
