Despite the season ending in disappointment, the addition of Dmitry Orlov was massive for the Bruins, and now, the pending UFA has revealed his plans for a tough summer.

Even with the playoff performance of Tyler Bertuzzi, Orlov is probably still Boston's best Trade Deadline acquisition this season. Not to mention, the defender had 8 assists against the Panthers in the first round and was tied for second on the team in playoff points.

Going Back to D.C.?

Acquired from the Capitals - along with Garnet Hathaway - at the March 3rd Deadline, the defenseman hinted at the fact of possibly returning to Washington this summer:

''Right now, it's dark. What I'm going to do, I don't know. I still don't know what my plan is. If I fly back to Washington or stay here. It's a lot of things. Obviously, I'm going to have to make a decision. Where I'm going to be, and I need to talk to my family. Figure out from there.''

Orlov, 31, is reportedly looking for a four or five-year deal, and with it being his last time to ''cash out'' as he eluded to, the Russian could want a deal around his current $5.1 million AAV.

However, he's also not so confident it a reunion will work with his former club:

''We'll see. It's tough. Probably, yeah. They're going to talk to my agent. How I see it, if they trade me, I don't think it's going to work out. But we'll see.''
