A former Boston Bruins player collapsed in a Hockey match.

Anton Blidh, who played 70 Games for Boston, collapsed on the bench in the first period of an AHL Playoff Match for the Hartford Wolf Pack against the Hershey Bears.

Hartford, the AHL affiliate of the New York Rangers, paused the match during the first period after Blidh collapsed during a collision with a Hershey player, and later passed out on the bench.

A stretcher was brought out to attend to Blidh, who appeared to be unable to leave the bench under his own accord.

Blidh miraculously returned for the second period, having been reported that Blidh appears to have been left in shock from the hit, but was well enough to return shortly after.

2:39 left in the first that was delayed due to the incident was made up in the second period. At the time, Hartford led Hershey 1-0.

Blidh, a Bruins 6th Round Pick in 2013, played for the Bruins between 2016-2022, shifting between Boston and AHL Providence, before signing a two-way deal with the Avalanche, suiting up for 14 NHL Games, and earlier this year, being traded to the Rangers, playing solely for Hartford.
