Boston Bruins defenseman Hampus Lindholm has been out with a lower-body injury, since November 12th. Joe Sacco gave an update on the defenseman who has been out on IR since November 13th.

One of the holes in the Bruins lineup has been the defense, and they've sorely missed Hampus Lindholm.

Lindholm has been a top-four defenseman in the organization since he arrived in 2022.

Lindholm has been in Boston for four years and has played 180 games, scoring 91 points( 16 G, 75 A), and has played 53 playoff games with the team since 2022.

Joe Sacco would issue an update on the Bruins defenseman:

"Still out weeks," Sacco said. "I'll have to get another update, but he's still weeks away."

Lindholm's return to the lineup would be a quick spark to a Bruins team who has slowly regained their footing, after the slow start under Jim Montgomery to start the season.

The defenseman like many players this season, has experienced a downturn in production and has only scored 7 points(3 G, 4 A) with a -4 rating in 17 games played this year.

This is a steep decline from last season where he posted 26 points( 3 G, 23 A) and a +18 rating in 73 games last year.

Lindholm was left off of Sweden's Four Nation Face-Off roster, but his teammate Elias Lindholm and former Bruin Linus Ullmark made the cut.

While Hampus is not on Sweden's roster, Elias Lindholm has made the cut. With this, he will represent Sweden with former Bruins star Linus Ullmark.

Lindholm is in year three of his eight-year deal with the Bruins and makes $6.5 Million AAV.

Lindholm was the 6th overall pick in the 2012 NHL round.
