A Boston Bruins insider just revealed the reasoning behind the Boston Bruins controversial roster transaction today.

The Boston Bruins just one day after recalling Fabian Lysell have now reportedly sent him back to the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League.

Mark Allred, a insider for the Boston Bruins just revealed the real reason on why Fabian Lysell was sent down to the Providence Bruins in the American League today.

The day after making his NHL debut with the Boston Bruins, the former first-round pick was reassigned to the AHL, and Allred believes that this move was strictly a paper transaction due to cap space reasons.

Cap space is very limited so I would guess Lysell back to Providence is a paper transaction.
The B's AHL affiliate don't get back in the ice until this coming Saturday in Hershey, Pennsylvania when they face the Beard for two games that weekend.

There is belief that Lysell will play for the Boston Bruins in their game on Tuesday as they have a rematch against the Washington Capitals after dominating them just before the holiday break.

Joe Sacco was highly impressed with how Lysell performed in his NHL debut with the Boston Bruins, and with that being said, it's hard to believe we will not see him play another game with the Bruins here soon.

Here is what Sacco had to say about Lysell's game after the Bruins win against the Columbus Blue Jackets Saturday night:

Sacco on Fabian Lysell:

«He was trying to be very responsible away from the puck. You could see he was making a conscious effort to be good without the puck, and those are the things that he needs to continue to build his game.»
