The long-anticipated revelation is now official: Mitch Miller has inked a contract with Ak Bars in the KHL, marking a new chapter in his hockey journey.

In a recent interview conducted in Russia, Miller candidly addressed the incident that led to his departure from two NHL teams.
Originally drafted by Arizona in 2020, Miller faced swift dismissal after details of his troubled past emerged. His involvement in bullying a developmentally disabled African American classmate at the age of 14 came to light, leading to his departure from the team.
Subsequently, Boston signed him two years later, only to drop him amid public backlash.
Reflecting on the regrettable incident, Miller acknowledged the gravity of his actions during a high school basketball game, expressing remorse for the harm caused.
In the interview, he contended that the media portrayed him as a monster during the trial and highlighted the challenges he faced at the age of 14, attempting to comprehend the legal proceedings.
Addressing media scrutiny, Miller emphasized that he had apologized multiple times in court, both in person and in writing. He lamented the misrepresentation and expressed a desire to change the course of events, even acknowledging that, at 22, the impact of those events still weighs heavily on him.
Miller recounted a prior interview he had done while with the Boston team, where he extensively explained the incident and expressed his ongoing remorse.
However, this interview never saw the light of day before he was released from his entry-level contract.
Before joining Ak Bars, Miller showcased his skills in the Slovak Extraliga, earning the title of the league's top scorer.
