Things have not been going the way the Boston Bruins had planned after making some big moves in the off-season to be a more competitive team this year.
The Bruins brought in some depth players, and made some big moves by bringing in Nikita Zadorov, and Elias Lindholm during the off-season to go for a deep playoff run this season.
Things aren't looking too good so for the Bruins as they currently have a 8-7-2 record right now which is good enough for 3rd place in the Atlantic Division, but there has been a lot of talk about Jim Montgomery.
Jim Montgomery is entering his last season under contract with the Boston Bruins, and with how the season has been going there has been a lot of speculation that he may get fired by the Bruins.
A NHL reporter that goes by 'NHL Watcher' on X may have just leaked who the next Boston Bruins head coach could be if Montgomery does get fired by the Bruins or isn't signed to an extension in the off-season.
Here is what he had to say:
Definitely a controversial take, but he also had this to say about the possibility of Quenneville even coming back into the league:
If Montgomery does get fired by the Bruins or isn't signed to an extension with them, he will have many other job opportunities and won't go long without a job as he is a great coach.
