Patrick Maroon's replacement has finally spoke to the media on joining the Boston Bruins organization.

Leading up to the NHL trade deadline this year, there were a lot of rumours that suggested the Boston Bruins tried and wanted to trade Linus Ullmark.

Nothing ended up happening during the season, but in the off-season talks heated up, especially between the Boston Bruins and Ottawa Senators.

On June 24th the Boston Bruins and Ottawa Senators officially combined for a trade that would send Bruins goaltender to the Ottawa Senators, in return the Boston Bruins got their 25th overall pick, Joonas Korpisalo and Mark Kastelic.

It was rumoured that the Bruins acquired Kastelic in the trade to be a replacement for Patrick Maroon, and that was confirmed once free agency opened and we saw Patrick Maroon sign with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Kastelic spoke to the media about how excited he is to join the Boston Bruins and that he hasn't heard anything but good thinks about the Bruins organization.

Mark Kastelic on getting traded to the #NHLBruins: "I was filled with a ton of excitement to join Boston and join that team I've heard nothing but good things about everybody there."

Mark Kastelic plays a similar type of game to Patrick Maroon, but is a much younger version, he is a gritty forward who is willing to drop the gloves and throw the body.

In 63 games with the Ottawa Senators Kastelic put up 5 goals, 5 assists for 10 points and also had 63 penalty minutes. In those 63 games Kastelic put up 126 hits while averaging 7:43 TOI.
