The Boston Bruins have made several roster decisions over the past couple of days to which the team has decided to release goaltender Kasimir Kaskisuo from his PTO.

He was slated to work with the Providence Bruins but after not showing any promise, the team felt that they needed to move on and decided to release him.

His NHL career has not gone according to plan as he has worked with several organizations including the Toronto Maple Leafs, Nashville Predators and spent time with the Montreal Canadiens AHL affiliate the Laval Rocket.

He signed a two-way contract with Toronto Maple Leafs back in March of 2016 and after five seasons and no signs of becoming a regular, he chose to sign a one-year deal with the Nashville Predators in October of 2020.

After spending two years overseas with the Swedish Hockey League he returned to North America in hopes of reviving his career with the Laval Rocket. He then signed the PTO with the Bruins.

It's been a wild summer for the Bruins and their goaltending with countless stories and thoughts of what would happen to Jeremy Swayman. The Bruins now have their goaltending situation cleared up good with Swayman under contract and Brandon Bussi developing with Providence, it's safe to say the saga is over and that the Bruins could get to work and start the season.

It remains a tense opening for the season for both clubs as hurricane Milton looms in the Gulf of Mexico and has a direct path towards Florida. The NHL feels the game will go on and that the Bruins season opener will take place on October 8th and game time will be 7:00 PM eastern.
