An unexpected turn of events has surfaced regarding Tyler Johnson's future with the Boston Bruins heading forwards.
On August 31st, the Boston Bruins announced the signing of two-time Stanley Cup Champion Tyler Johnson, who signed a professional tryout contract with the Boston Bruins.
The other day there was a report revealing that it was looking like Tyler Johnson was going to sign a contract out of the PTO with the Boston Bruins, after having a solid training camp, all signs pointed to Tyler Johnson being signed by the Boston Bruins.
Wonder if Tyler Johnson stays with the team for a few weeks and then signs a contract a la Heinen last year
Well things have taken an unexpected turn today, and it looks like Tyler Johnson will not be signing with the Boston Bruins.
Per several reports this morning about PTO signings, it doesn't sound like the #NHLBruins are going to lockdown veteran forward Tyler Johnson to a one-year contract.

The Boston Bruins are in Florida preparing for their opening night game against the Florida Panthers, and it was reported that Tyler Johnson was not on the trip with the Boston Bruins.
Tyler Johnson is not on the trip.
If this is true, it's unfortunate for Johnson as he had a pretty impressive camp with the Boston Bruins, and proved that he can still play good hockey at the age of 34.
