The Boston Bruins have disciplined goaltender Jeremy Swayman during his first skate with the team.

On Sunday, the hockey world was shocked when the announcement of Jeremy Swayman re-signing with the Boston Bruins was made early in the morning.

The Boston Bruins, and Jeremy Swayman finally agreed on a contract, after a lengthy negotiation process that started to look bad for both sides. The Boston Bruins decided to take contract negotiations public during their season-opening press conference.

Cam Neely revealed that they offered Jeremy Swayman a $64 million contract, but Jeremy Swayman's agent, Lewis Gross took to social media and denied that him, or Jeremy Swayman were ever informed about this offer.

Things started to look ugly for both sides, and it seemed like a deal wasn't going to get done until closer to the December 1st deadline. That was until it was announced on Sunday morning that Jeremy Swayman signed a 8-year, $8.25 million contract.

Today during practice the Boston Bruins disciplined Jeremy Swayman by making him skate a lap after their stretches.

Bruins make Jeremy Swayman skate a lap after the stretch to stick taps.

Although it's not a serious punishment, it's still pretty funny.

Fans even suggested that he will have to pay for the team dinner in Florida after their game.

Something tells me they'll be making him pay for dinner in Florida.
