Tory Krug Refuses Trade To Boston For This Reason
According to reports, the Philadelphia Flyers had expressed interest in keeping defenseman Torey Krug.
However, their plans were hindered due to various factors.
With the team dealing away Ivan Provorov and attempting to trade away Tony DeAngelo, they were in need of defensive players.
Unfortunately, Krug was not willing to join a rebuilding phase. Additionally, the recent arrival of his third child made him reluctant to uproot his family and move.
» Friedman adds the Flyers intention was to keep Krug, they needed D after dealing away Provorov and as they try to deal away DeAngelo, Krug was not comfortable going into a rebuild, also just had a 3rd child, not interested in moving around his family.»
These circumstances ultimately impacted the Flyers' pursuit of Krug.
