Two Boston Bruins players have faced injuries moments before training camp begins.

Yesterday training camp begun for the Boston Bruins, and Don Sweeney held a press conference, and spoke about the Boston Bruins. He revealed that two players have suffered injuries and will not attend training camp.

Alec Regula, a defenseman the Boston Bruins acquired in a trade that saw Taylor Hall and Nick Foligno go to the Chicago Blackhawks, will not be present at training camp, and will also miss the season opener for Providence Bruins due to undergoing lower back surgery in the off-season.

@AHLBruins defenseman Alec Regula will not be ready for the season opener after having lower back procedure in offseason #GetBent

Jackson Edward on the other hand suffered a UBI which will take a week to 10 days for it to heal and he will also be absent for most of the Bruins training camp.

On the injury front Alec Regula is recovering from surgery and Jackson Edward suffered a recent UBI that will take a weeks to 10 days to heal #NHLBruins

Although these guys more then likely weren't going to make the opening roster for the Boston Bruins, it sucks seeing them go down with injuries.

Do you think any of these players had a chance to make the opening night roster for the Boston Bruins?
