One 2022 NHL draft pick may find himself in serious trouble, as he's currently being investigated by Slovak police.

Earlier today, it was announced that New York Rangers prospect and Slovak native Adam Sykora is currently being investigated by police after a brawl during a school floorball match. The brawl left one teen badly injured and the spotlight on Sykora.

The incident occurred near the end of a ''floor hockey'' game; when Sykora was fouled, he allegedly grabbed another player by the throat leading to a wild brawl.

The Slovakian news outlet Pravda shared the following details:

(Below is translated to English from Slovak)

At the end of the match against Zlat Moravci, one of the visiting team should have fouled Skora. The conflict escalated into a brawl involving several players. After the fight, a Zlat Moraviec player was left lying on the ground covered in blood, and ended up in the hospital with a fractured jaw.

So, as a person who was there and watched it from the stands, it was caused by a tackle on Skora, which was on the verge of a foul, even though as a floorball player I would not consider it a foul. After this tackle, Adam Skora ran after the guy, what's wrong with him he did and grabbed him by the neck.

''Subsequently, the other players of Nitra also ran into the fight and started fighting there, and then almost everyone fought. There is an injured player from Zlaty Moraviec who Molnár totally beat with his fists,'' reads one of the reactions on Twitter.

However, as Slovakian hockey journalist Matej Deraj reported on Twitter (@MatoDeraj), that may not be the true story:

''Okay, to clear this up... #NYR prospect Adam Skora is NOT investigated by the police nor charged with anything. To my knowledge, he was involved in the brawl but didn't really fight anyone and didn't do anything that should prevent him from attending the next World Juniors imo.''

''On the other hand, Ondrej Molnár was, in fact, questioned by the police.''

Sykora was selected in the second round (63rd overall) by the Rangers in the most recent NHL Draft. The 18-year-old has two goals and five assists in 17 games with Nitra MHC of the Slovak Extraliga.

Terrible news for Team Slovakia, as they may have lost a star player for the upcoming World Juniors tournament because of a stupid mistake.
