Leading up to the 2022 NHL Trade Deadline, the Boston Bruins were one of several teams that were heavily interested in Arizona Coyotes defenseman Jakob Chychrun.
As reported by Jimmy Murphy of Boston Hockey Now, Coyote's general manager, Bill Armstrong, wanted Jeremy Swayman to be part of any package for a deal involving Chyrchrun.
Bruins' general manager wouldn't budge, and according to Murphy, he had several big-time deals on the table from interested GMs around the NHL.
Swayman is currently 19-9-3 with a 2.24 GAA, a .920 SV% and 3 shutouts in 32 games this season. With playoffs just around the corner, it's no certainty that he will be the playoff starter, but it's definitely his job to lose.
Luckily, Boston was able to get the second-best left-shot defenseman available, Hampus Lindholm, without giving up their future potential all-star goalie.
