It appears that another Boston Bruin isn't entirely done with his season either!
Yesterday it was reported that goaltender Jeremy Swayman was on his way to Finland to play for Team USA. Early this morning, news broke about the Bruins forward. David Pastrnak will also be representing his country with Team Czechia for the remainder of the 2022 IIHF World Championships.
Team Czechia general manager Petr Nedved announced that Pastrnak could join the team as early as Wednesday.
Pastrnak recently finished yet another 40-goal campaign with the Boston Bruins to go along with 34 assists and 74 points in 70 games played. The star winger added 3 goals and 3 assists in 7 playoff games against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Team Czechia includes other notable NHL players Tomas Hertl of the San Jose Sharks, Jakub Vrana of the Detroit Red Wings, and former longtime Boston Bruin and teammate of Pastrnak, David Krejci. Czechia is currently 1-0-0-1 with a 5-1 win over Great Britain and a 5-3 loss to Sweden.
Good luck, Pasta!
