Boston Bruins announce 3 contract signings

The Boston Bruins announced that they have signed three players to new contracts.

It was reported yesterday that general manager Don Sweeney signed RFA Jack Achan, which is now confirmed by the club.

They also announced two other signings, as per Bruins PR:

''Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, July 18, that the team has made the following transactions: signed defenseman Jack Ahcan to a one-year, two-way contract with an NHL cap hit of $750,000; signed forward Matt Filipe to a one-year, two-way contract with an NHL cap hit of $787,500; signed defenseman Ryan Mast to a three-year entry-level contract with an annual NHL cap hit of $850,000.''

Filipe, a Newton, Massachusetts native, was originally selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the third round (67th overall) of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

The forward appeared in 59 AHL games with Providence in 2021-22, recording 7 goals and 10 assists.

Mast was originally selected by the Bruins in the sixth round (181st overall) of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.

The 19-year-old defenseman played 59 games with the Sarnia Sting of the OHL last season, collecting 9 goals and 22 assists for 31 points.
